Codepal Wishes You A Happy Holiday!
A Reflection: Importance of Service
In Business and In Life
The Codepal Team has always done its best to exemplify great service. As a member of
this team, I have benefited greatly from the example of the industries we serve. Our market
focuses on the safety and lives of the public. We serve public safety workers of all kinds:
fire marshals, fire inspectors, and fire investigators, building & zoning officials, building,
electrical, plumbing, inspectors, private companies who perform Alarm, Sprinkler and other
types of tests and inspections. All of these people are in this to provide safer environments
for people to move, work, and interact with one another. Occasionally, and to some degree,
these public servants get financial remuneration for their work, but for the most part they
have a HEART for this work.
Our team is here to serve the servers. During this season, we see charitable acts and
kindness that are ushered to the forefront of our minds. We see people doing remarkable
things for one another a lot through organizations to which we each belong. There are
charity and church events far and wide offering opportunity for each of us to donate our
resources and time and effort.
If we are truly servants for one another, I will challenge myself and everyone here at
Codepal. Give yourselves to others. Look for fresh ways to serve our family members, our
friends, our neighbors. There are many people locally, in other states, and in other
countries, that need our help. I ask that all of you who pride yourselves on being public
servants, to stretch yourselves to do even more.
I am developing a personal habit to watch where God is working around me. I want to be a
better Bob. I want to be the kind of servant that always has an eye open, an ear open, and
a heart open for someone who is hurting and in need. I am not always great at it, but I am
trying. My hope is that if even one person reads this and is lead to help someone else, then
my plea is successful. I am just asking all of you to be more of who you already are.
Thank you all for allowing us to serve you.
Bob Lee, CodePal Project Manager.
Testimonies
"Our staff was able to
learn how to use
Codepal on their own
pretty quickly. However,
we thought we might not
be getting the most out
of our software, so we
had someone come out
and work with us to get
the most out of the
system. They took the
time to actually learn our
processes and went out
into the field to see
exactly what we did in
order to help us adapt
the software. I can't say
enough about the
importance of
programming staff
actually seeing how
people are using the
product and you get that
with the Codepal team." -
James Frye, Fire
Marshal - Texas State
University
"We've been using
Codepal for our
prevention department
for 8 years and couldn't
be happier. The Codepal
team's customer service
is great. These guys are
always available when I
have a problem and they
take care of it." - Dave
Thomas, Inspector -
Our New Division
With the acquisition has come added staff and a
renewed focus on all our existing customers. We've
started a new customer relations and sales division
with the sole purpose of better serving our existing
customers and bringing new customers on board.
We've already spoken to and met with many of you
and will continue our efforts through the end of the
year. We've enjoyed reconnecting with many of you
and look forward to serving you as you serve your
constituents.
Here are some of the things we have been doing this
year to better serve you:
Texas, Texas, and more Texas: We have had a lot of
interest in this state and are considering opening an
office there sometime in the next 2 years.
State Fire Marshals: In August, we were at the State
Fire Marshal's conference in New Mexico. We met so
many great people there. Jack Rooney, Codepal's new
owner has a goal of spending a significant amount of
time with these professionals. They all have very unique
needs and Jack has always had a focus of state
government.
State of Illinois: Our home is a great place to get
involved, with a new inside business development
person, Marc Featherstone, and because of the goals
the owner Jack Rooney has set, we have great energy in
helping our state to develop new systems starting at the
city level and working our way up to the state and federal
level.
Association Meetings: We love working with this
venue. We want to present one on one, face to face with
individuals and groups of leaders. We not only still love
fire prevention, but also zoning, building, code
enforcement, and others.
Touring to get to know you: Over time we will be
setting up tours for ourselves across the nation. We
would like to get to know you and your staff. Invite us.
We look forward to getting to know your challenges.
Alabama State Fire Marshal: Ed Paulk retired this year
as the Alabama State Fire Marshal. In September, Jack
Rooney and Bob Lee had the privilege of attending an
event that paid tribute to all the wonderful work Ed did in
this job. We look forward to see how Ed continues to

look forward to seeing the work Scott Pilgreen does in
that office going forward. Good luck Scott you are filling
big shoes.

New Members to Our Team
Our Codepal Team is honored to have the members we have and this year we have
added 3 more to our team.
This year we added a new person to our support team. April Marsaglia is a great worker
and has a natural understanding of the work we do with development and support for
clients. She brings much technical knowledge as well as a great attitude to her job of
supporting new and existing clients.
We also added Tom Ralph to our team. He provides us great research assistance when it
comes to serving our clients and knowing where our sales efforts need to be focused.
Marc Featherstone is a much needed resource as Sales Manager. Marc is very perceptive
as to the needs of our clients and has great energy for meeting all of our current clients and
making sure all of their current and future needs are met.
