2. What is CourseCast? CourseCast is a complete client/server solution allowing users to quickly and effectively capture presentations, courses and meetings. CourseCast includes the CourseCast Recorder, CourseCast Editor and CourseCast Server.

5. CourseCast: The Socrates Project Panopto offers CourseCast's core components free to accredited educational institutions through the Socrates Project. CourseCast's core components include classroom and desktop lecture capture, web streaming, indexing (via PowerPoint and student notes), search (at the course and individual session level), web-based editing and archiving.
