This document summarizes the location for filming a scene involving a car pulling up to a house. The location is on Doncaster Road in Kirk Sandall, outside the author's house. It is on a main road with traffic that adds atmosphere. There is access to electricity and facilities at the author's house. Nearby fields can also be used for filming. Parking will be on the driveway since there are no other options nearby. The area provides what is needed for the scene with minimal permissions or costs required.

Location Details For the next step in our filming for the trailer it is going to take place right
outside my house. It is a nice house which is situated in the middle of
Doncaster Road in Kirk sandall. It is on a main road which means cars lorries
and busses are going to be going down that road a lot. There are good paths
to use which are not small and dangerous but are good and sturdy and haven’t
started to erode or have massive potholes.
Across the road and over the bank there is a field which can also be used to
film if we ever need to go to a field/woody area, this will be a big help as it
means we don’t have to travel far to get to a field or an open area.
We also have the traffic and the traffic noise which adds a special effect and
helps to make it look and feel more realistic as it was filmed in a real area. This
area that we are filming in is perfect for the scene as we need a good enough
sized road in order to film there.
Scene/Purpose
of filming
We needed to film in a busy built up area which is part of the main story for our
film trailer which is about three quarters of the way through the trailer. We need
to film a scene that involves a car pulling up near or at somebodies house and
my team and I decided that my house was in the perfect location.
We have access to all the facilities that we need such as electricity, toilets and
more as well as having very easy access to get to the place as it is on a main
road.

telephone
There is no telephone
number
Permissions
We do not need
permission to access this
sight which is exactly what
we needed. The only other
place that we are going to
be in is my house which is
just along the road. And
seeing that it is my house I
don’t need permission to
enter and neither does my
team.
Access The access to the area is
very easy as there is not
much traffic at certain times
of the day which makes
access very easy. But if we
end up going at the wrong
time of the day then we
could get caught up in a lot
of traffic which makes the
area we are trying to get to
very difficult to access
Electricity
Supply
There is electricity supply
but only in my house, other
areas along the street are
out of bounds
Availability This area is available 24/7
and has no closing times.
But as for my house, we
are not able to go at any
time as my family will be
home and it can get quite
stressful so we will have to
use common sense and
work out times that best
suite everybody
Food Food is available at my
house and at the nearby
shops if people get hungry,
but it is best if we bring our
own packed lunch or bring
money so that we can go to
the shops
Parking Parking is not really an
option as the nearest car
parking space is way too far
away so that we can film.
So we will have no option
but to park any car we may
bring on my driveway
Points of
Interest
- There’s cars and
noise
- We have access to
all the facilities that
we need
- Its quite local which
makes it better for
everybody to travel
to
- It is a safe area
- If we have any
problems then my
house is just
around the corner
Toilets There are no toilets along
the actual road but there are
at my house which is what
we will have to do
Sunlight As I’ve already mentioned in
a different location recce we
are in the middle of winter
which means there will be
very little chance of
sunshine instead we may
get lots of rain or maybe
even snow
Suitability/
Possible shots
It is quite a large area so
we are not restricted in the
variety of shots that we
may want to take on the
day
Windows There are windows at my
house that I could use to
film out of if we need to
change the shots in any way
Flooring/
ground
We are on good and stable
concrete which is perfect for
filming on, but if we chose to
film in the nearby fields and
woods then we will be in the
mud so suitable shoes
would be advised
Safety Issues The only safety issue that we
need to be careful of is the
Noise We are on a busy road so
