MC Inspector Procurement Packages.
Benny has worked as an inspector in the field E. I. & T procurement packages to Dong Energy`s Hejre project period
06-2013 to the end of 2014 by our project office in Paris where Dongs consortium partner Technip France has
provisioned purchasing custom category 1 and 2 equipment packages to Hejre Platform .
Benny`s responsible area in connection with this work is described in the job description for MC Inspector
Procurement Packages (see. Page 2) which he has reported to the Procurement Follow Up Lead Asbjørn Jordalen
and Alf - Jostein Njåstad.
The following main tasks are performed:
Mechanical Completion, check of documentation in PIMS and at suppliers workshop, monitoring of exception reports
and requests for deviations from suppliers, check of equipment at suppliers workshop regards design, specifications
and verify that equipment is built in accordance with laws and regulations (NORSOK, Danish standards and other
relevant specifications ).
In connection with testing of equipment ( FAT ), look in to test criteria and monitoring of test results and evaluate
results against design requirements, performance etc.
Benny has also followed up the complete delivery from suppliers workshop in connection with Inspection Release
Notes from Technip and supplier of equipment packages including requirements for preservation and storage.
Summary :
Our experiences with the work performed Benny is very good, he is easy to work with showing great flexibility and
willingness to perform the work even though it has led to extensive travel throughout Europe and although this has
entailed traveling outside normal working hours.
Professionally Benny is a highly skilled technician who follow up tasks with great accuracy and has good abilities to
find answers to most tasks alone, or together with other, internally and externally.

2. Summary of Responsibility, Tasks and Background
MC-inspectors within the Hejre-project.
• Member of the Hejre Completion Group as MC Inspector, reporting to MC Procurement Follow Up Lead.
• Responsible for Mechanical Completion matters related to follow-up of procurement packages
(Category 1 and Category 2 equipment)
• Participate in reviewing content in PIMS Completion Management System, (CMS) as Project Completion
System for Mechanical Completion, Preservation and Commissioning in respect to planning and
execution of completion quality, tracking and traceability.
• Within the procurement packages (PO), familiarize with deviations and concessions prior to Supplier
Visits and inspecting activities.
• Related to Mechanical Completion, monitor the overall quality of the deliveries. This includes physical
inspections of the equipment and in addition, spot checks to verify the likeliness of traceability of
manufacture and fabrication documentation
• Related to preparedness and functionality of equipment, inspect test setup and witness tests.
Prior to test witnessing, familiarize with test protocols and consider if the test setup simulate the
process (loads etc.) in a satisfactory manner.
• Aim to ensuring interfaces towards external surroundings are according to the design requirements.
Hereunder size and location of flanges and junction boxes, correct data protocol
(if internal control equipment) etc.
• Upon release, inspect the familiarize with the preservation requirements and if found beneficial to the
Project, inspect the preservation before storage and shipment
• Related to Procurement follow-up, ensuring Contractor Mechanical Completion processes and
documentation meet Project Requirements.
Education
• Tradesman within relevant discipline (Mechanical, Process, Electro
Automation/Instrumentation).
Experience
• Minimum 5 years’ field-experience from Operations, Maintenance or Modifications as Craftsman or
Technician.
• Relevant experience on offshore projects, preferably designed to North Sea/NORSOK design codes and
standards.
• Working knowledge of all relevant codes, standards and industry practice.
• Experienced working for an oil/gas production company, or alternatively a contractor or supplier.
Skills
• Self-motivated, team player with a strength to execute.
• Good communication skills, including oral and written reporting, fluent in English and preferably also in
Danish or Scandinavian language.
• Proficient computer skills with modern day PC application packages, MS Project, MS Office.
