The theme for Children's Book Week 2012 was Heroes and Heroines. We asked our Year 7 students to nominate their favourite literary heroes and heroines.
2. Kasper, Prince of Cats

I like Kasper because he
is a handsome cuddly
kitten with lovely black
fur. He has real
personality. It is
Because he inspected a
room like a picky human.
He has a lively spirit and
he is very choosey.
3. Katriss Everdeen

My favourite literary
heroine has to be
Katriss Everdeen fropm
The Hunger Games. She
is a character who is
willing to go to any lengths
to save her sister
Primrose. I nominate her
because of the epic battle
in the first book of The
Hunger Games trilogy.
4. Rosalind

I have nominated Rosaline
as he is caring and kind-
hearted. She is kind by
nature and always sticks
up for her younger
brother, Robbie. Even
though she has a hottible
stepsister, Smash,
Rosalind still loves being
near family, especially
Maudie. Rosalind is also very
considerate and sympathetic.
5. Spiderman

I am nominating
Spiderman as a hero
because he has the
ability to shoot
extremely long spider
webs from his wrists, he
has super strength, he
can climb walls and
buildings and he has
spider senses.
