1. Compare & Contrast
Ali Baba To Aladdin
By: Zach Vulgamott
In language Arts, we learned about two Arabian folktales,
Ali Baba And The Forty Thieves and Aladdin. I enjoyed
both of the stories very much. Then I decided to write
about there differences and similarities.
There are many similarities between the two stories like
that they are both Arabian folk tales. Also in the story
Aladdin, There is the cave of wonders and in Ali Baba, Ali
Baba finds the forty thieves cave with all the treasure and
jewels they stole. They are both “magic” related. For
example, In Aladdin, he finds the genie lamp in the cave
of wonders and the magic carpet, and then in Ali baba,
01there is the secret cave, hidden by the rock. Finally, in
both of the stories, they are introduced as poor but at the
end, they become rich.
Just like similarities, there are many differences too. One
difference is that in Aladdin, there are much more animals
than in Ali baba. Also in Ali baba, there is more of a
lesson than in Aladdin. In Aladdin, there is more magic in
Ali baba because In Aladdin, there is the magic carpet
and the genie but in Ali baba, there is only the stone in
front of the cave.
Ali baba and Aladdin were both very good stories and I
hope others will like them too. Also I hope they make a
book of Aladdin so people could read it on the go instead
of watching the movie.
