In celebration of our 5 year anniversary, we had an art contest for all of our kids. The entries were great, and we loved them all so much we decided to use them as illustrations for a story about our mascot Panda.

7. Page 6
So he returned back to the bamboo forest where the bamboo
was plentiful, and he tucked his dreams and ambitions behind the
bamboo stalks so he wouldn't think about them.

One day, he noticed a bamboo plant that had grown taller than
all the others. It loomed over him, begging him to climb and see
what lay beyond. So he carefully picked his way to the top and

The world was vast and colorful and from far above, he saw the glint of
a pink crown atop the head of the most beautiful panda he'd ever beheld.
He was smitten. Although it scared him to leave his peaceful home in the
bamboo forest, he decided to go find her.

It was time to venture out and see what there was to see. He
filled his tummy with bamboo. Leaving the only home he'd ever
known was a little scary, a little exciting and a lot overwhelming
as there were many paths he could take.

The outside world was strange, filled with creatures he didn't
understand. He had a hard time finding the bamboo he loved so
much. His tummy began to grumble. He wondered if he made the
right choice but didn't know which direction to go to return
home. And sadly, the beautiful panda was nowhere to be seen.

After days, Panda staggered into the city and found himself
before a tall building that smelled of beautiful bamboo. In fact,
bamboo was bent into letters of the alphabet on the outside
of the building. It spelled Bamboo HR. Panda tried to pull the
bamboo down but it was nailed on. Strange noises and loud
outbursts came from the windows, scaring him. Panda cowered.

called themselves Bambooligans, and they were friendly. "Where
have you been? Your interview started five minutes ago." They
ushered him into the building.
