Weight Loss Program
Weekly classes and individual appointments available each
week
Program includes support from Nutrition, Behavioral Health
and Army Wellness Center
Weight loss surgery will be an option if traditional methods
of weight loss are not successful
18. FamilyMOVE! – Collaborative & Innovative
Weight Loss Program
• FamilyMOVE! is the first such comprehensive weight loss
program in the Army and focuses on coaching and reinforcing
lifestyle and behavioral changes which improve the chances
for long-term weight loss success.
• To qualify for the surgical option, military dependents must be
from 20 to 60 years of age with BMIs (body mass index)
between 40 and 50
• Active-duty Soldiers are not permitted to undergo weight loss
surgery.
