    Leadership & Management Training Programme


                                     PURPOSE OF THIS MASTER-CLASS:
         Equip participants with tools and knowledge to develop their leadership and management
                                         skills in their organisation.
        The course contents can be customised when it is delivered to in-house clients as required.
                    Clients can select up to 10 modules and a minimum of 5 modules.

    This course will teach you how to manage your employees and build a strong team within your department
    and organisation. As part of this course, you will learn tools for effective team building and management of
    high level workforce productivity.

     Module 4                              Staff Recruitment & Performance Management
    Course Objectives & Outcomes:
    This course will teach you how to effectively hire staff, manage their performance and develop their
    productivity to accomplish corporate goals and objectives.
    CONTENTS
                  How to analyse the staffing needs of your organisation , carry out job analysis and put together a
                 job description for different posts.
                 How to recruit, select and induct staff effectively in an organisation- different approaches to
                 recruitments, their pros and cons and how to implement them
                 What you need to know about working within the laws in the UK and useful knowledge hubs to
                 access support staff recruitment and induction.
                 How to effectively motivate and manage staff performance to ensure they realise maximum
                 productivity for the organisation. Different motivational tools will be explored as well as their pros
                 and cons.
                 How to set targets for staff that is congruent with the overall goals and objectives of the
                 department as well as the corporate vision.
                 How to manage performance of staff to ensure their productivity is enhanced consistently.
                  How to conduct an effective staff appraisal system and reward staff appropriately including the
                 dos and don'ts of staff appraisal.
                 How to deal with conflict and problems
                 How to deal with difficult employees & firing
                 How to conduct staff meetings effectively as part of the management process ensuring that staff
                 work as a team to achieve the goals of the team/department.

    This course teaches participants tools and skills for diagnosing problems and effectively solve them in the
    workplace.

                 Problem solving approaches- PDCA, Simplex Process, Straw Man Concept, Soft System
                 Methodology
                 Finding the cause of a problem using tools and techniques such as the 5 Whys, Cause and
                 Effect, Root Cause Analysis, CATWOE etc
                 Improving business processes through writing procedures, flow charting etc
                 Diagram based tools such as system diagram, affinity diagram



     Module 6                                                                             Strategic Planning
    Course Objectives & Outcomes:
    This course will teach you tools to enable your organisation to develop its corporate, business and team
    strategy effectively. Participants will learn what strategy is, as well as various tools that you can apply to
    navigate towards developing a strategy for competitive advantage.

                 Exploring the value of strategic tools such as SWOT Analysis, Porters Five Forces, PEST Analysis,
                 USP Analysis, Core Competency Analysis, Critical Success Factors etc
                 Developing your competitive advantage using concepts and tools such as ADL Matrix, Weisbord's
                 Six-Box Model, Porters Diamond etc
                 Exploring strategic options
                 Developing your strategy and choosing your route to competitive advantage
                 Aligning organisational structure with corporate /business goals ensuring all parts work together
                 Strategic prioritisation using Boston Matrix, Porters Value Chain, Value Chain Analysis etc
                 Executing your strategy including developing your mission and vision statement
                 The basics of practical business planning including key components for future success

     Module 7                                                    Negotiation & Influencing Skills
    Course Objectives & Outcomes:
    In this workshop, participants will assess their own competency in effective negotiation skills, as well as
    learn new techniques for better results going forward. The course is designed to assist novice and those with
    some experience in negotiation to improve their skills for consistently achieving a win win situation with
    counter parties.

    CONTENTS
                Assessing own competency in negotiation using competency self assessment framework tool.
                Putting together action plan for improvement.
                What is negotiation and why is it important
                Exploring the traditional approach versus the modern approach to negotiation
                Understanding negotiation jargons and how to use them in conversation confidently
                Setting the scene for determining core issues, position and third alternatives
                The importance of target setting in negotiation and how to better manage them during the
                negotiation process
                Assessing your leverage and that of your counterparty for improved negotiation strategy
                Strategising your negotiation and reflecting on performance
                Communicating effectively during negotiation for better results


     Module 8                                              Managing Change at the Workplace
   Course Objectives & Outcomes:
   This course will teach participants how to manage change effectively in the workplace in order to move
   organisations towards its new goals and corporate objectives. Participants will learn how to diagnose
   organisational readiness for change, plan and develop the appropriate change strategy, implement the change
   strategy, as well as manage and build commitment towards the change.

    effective leader. With this in mind, this course will teach you how to assess your current state of emotional
    intelligence, develop a plan of action to utilise superb strategies and tools for improvement, as well as
    develop an emotionally intelligent organisation.

    This course teaches participants tools for effective decision making within their team and organisation-wide.
    As a manager or leader, decision making is one of those activities you will be expected to take very often.
    Learning how to determine the appropriate decision to take in any given situation, as well as how to
    effectively communicate your decision will go a long way in earning the respect and trust of your colleagues
    and subordinates. Furthermore, effective decision making adds tremendous value (tangible or intangible) to
