new wireless standards (e.g., 7.3 Gbps for IEEE
802.11ac)

– Similar standard for DAS - TIA TSB-5008 cabling
guidelines for DAS initiated June 2014 with late-

• Considering Category 8.2/Class II
• Consider 24 m cabling distances for new data
center designs to permit upgrade to Cat 8

• TIA-604-18-A / FOCIS-18 Type MPO-16 fiber
• Specification for 16- and 32-fiber MPOs
• Key offset to side to avoid confusion with
12- and 24-fiber MPOs

MPO-12 because 40G and 4-lane 100G Ethernet
