MOTD 50 behind the scenes VT I produced for Breakfast’s Social media. I scripted, produced and
edited the VT and drove it’s push on facebook and twitter. This involved making sure the MOTD’s
social media team including Dan Walker bought into it, shared and retweeted the video. To date
it is in the Top 3 most viewed videos in BBC Breakfast’s social media history.

Sean Conway talks about his remarkable swim from Lands End to John O’Groats. I produced the
item by liaising with the graphics and editing team to create the montage overnight ready for
broadcast the next day.

This was a series of reports I research, produced and filmed for Newsround. The project also
involved me providing material for the website and producing 7 polished items to run across
network TV and online over a week period.

This is a story that I pitched strongly with my Editor and colleagues produce. At first the Editor
thought this was too London centric. I convinced her that it would work as it is Europe’s largest
street party, has heavy child involvement and takes a year to plan the event. Setting this up, I found
the right child who would author the VT, directed and edited the film that went out on BBC One.
I was praised for the item by all the team when it went out on the programme. I also ensured
that there were plenty of pictures taken for the site and an online version of the piece.

This is a studio performance of ‘Quag’, which I produced and filmed with unsigned act called
XO Man. This clip was so popular that the track was picked up and playlisted by 1Xtra and Radio 1.
