Every day, reviewers receive hundreds of requests to review new apps. With so many apps on the market, it can be difficult to get review sites to pay attention to your new game or productivity application. But, the good news is that you have more control than you think. Follow these 7 guidelines to get more app reviews and make your app famous.

13. 2. Build Relationships
Follow your favorite reviewers on Twitter
Leave genuine comments on articles
Get out to conferences and in-person events
Use your network for introductions
14. Always Try to Build
Relationships First, but, if
You Do Need to Start a
Conversation Via Email...
15.
16. Simple, short emails
work best
You have 1-2 sentences to «hook»
the reviewer
Use headings to break the email into sections while describing
your app (formatting helps!)
Include links to the app stores, trailer, visuals, etc.
17. Never take a «shotgun»
approach – reviewers hate
template emails
Come up with unique angles for each site
based on their readers’ needs
If writing to a specific person – be flattering, tell them you love
and follow their work (you already do... right?)
Give something special – preview build, exclusives, promo codes
24. 6. Think Beyond Traditional
Review Sites
Look for non-app sites that target your audience
They can be easier to reach and still have a big following
Join relevant social media communities
Build your social network and then use it!
