Editor's Notes
Comments from Romanus: We have a big challenge to meet: How do we each support and reinforce the growth and success of our evolving network of ChangeMakers and programs? As you know we are continuously investing to meet this goal, and in our context I ’ll just mention three examples (each of which draws from our common Salesforce Constituent Relationship Management System): Ashoka Hub 1.0 just launched and we are starting the work on v. 2.0 today Ashoka ’s new global web sites also just launched, and the work on the next design is being tightly integrated with what we do today ChangeMakers team is actively developing its next online toolset and will require integration with the rest of Ashoka to succeed. We have heard from each of you that in order to be truly impactful, any toolset that we adopt must provide integration as well as a clear value proposition for everyone joining in. Today ’s opportunity is for us to define the context and methodology for evaluating, shaping and using tools like Ashoka’s Hub to practically meet our individual and collective goals. If we do this right, each of you will come away from this meeting with at least two things: A holistic framework for incorporating the tools critically needed to meet core global (and indeed individual) goals A clear and tangible understanding of how Ashoka ’s Hub can add value to each of your teams Just a few words of thanks and context for this meeting: You are each here because we seek and need your thought leadership to shape and ultimately because we envision that each of you will own a finite portfolio of organizational tools, which could include The Hub. (This may be an opportunity to mention that part of our ongoing success has been and will be to continually listen for feedback from key constituencies and adjust our course as appropriate.) I suspect Diana (thank you for being with us) will briefly touch on global goals and it may be worth mentioning that this meeting is not geared towards revisiting or altering our global priorities, which is developed by our strategic planning and budgeting process. Finally: A big thank you to Valeria Merino for her tireless work in moving The Hub project forward, thereby giving us an opportunity to make our integration and alignment work tangible today. I ’d also like to thank Joe in helping us structure the meeting, which he will now help us outline.
