CELLULOSE RESIDUE IS “BAGASSE”.
FUEL/RAW MATERIAL TO CARDBOARD.
EXTRACTION OF JUICE. SUGARCANE OR SUGARBEET IS CUT INTO PIECES.IT IS CRUSHED IN A SERIES OF ROLLER MILLS.
JUICE IS WARMED IN SETTLING TANKS.
DECANTED.
*MADE ALKALINE WITH CALCIUM HYDROXIDE. *THE IMPURITIES GET PRECIPITATED. *LIQUID IS STEAMED TO COAGULATE PROTIEN MATTER & ALLOWED TO SETTLE.
* CLEAR JUICE IS CONCENTRATED IN TO A SYRUP BY EVAPORATION UNDER REDUCED PRESSURE. * SYRUP IS COOLED & CRYSTALLISED.
DECOLOURISED.
