1. Presents:
Objectives:
To integrate information, by means of plain text files or Excel files, of the
company current data bases and / or of the custom brokers, to the SCI
Server system data base as well as:
To Validate and keep information that will be entered to the SCI
Server System to Project the integrity of the data that is already saved.
To minimize capture error rate.
To keep a reliable relationship between the previously captured and
validated information and tax information.
To provide tools that cooperate with possible data audits.
To provide a range of operational, functional feature that allows the
user to have better information control and management.
2. Documents:
In this module you can find the options to make the interface of import and
export motion. These options will be subdivided as well, into headings,
invoices and the corresponding allocations.
Headings.- For the headings, the possible actions:
o New heading. Read a file containing heading information in a
given period, which must be configured by the user.
o Existing heading. Choose a period that is already entered into
the system and that is in any stage of the process of interface, in
order to be able to give it the appropriated maintenance.
Invoices.- For the invoices the possible actions are:

3. Funcionality:
General Features
• Ability to identify part numbers, products, customers and suppliers, as
well as concepts such as customs brokers, codes and customs that are
not currently controlled by the SCI Server system.
• Clear identification and segregation of the correct and incorrect
information, using the last one for its analysis and correction.
• Total handling of the read, validated and in process of validation
values, for their partial or complete change as well as for records
addition or deletion.
• Agreement of input and output units with the units of material cards.
• Ability of exporting information to Excel in all stages with the
possibility of reusing the information for other departments or

• Ability to determine differences in amounts, meaning that the amount

5. Data Flow Description:
1. From DB's we obtain by using files, the invoices, petitions or material
cards according to the established layout.
2. SCI Interface System ensures, through validations and modifications,
the integrity of the information that will be entered, and finally
integrates the validated information to the SCI Server DB.
3. From SCI Server System the entered information can be manipulated,
consulted and downloaded by means of the SCI Interface System SCI.
Operative Requirements:
The plain files must cover the required layout, as well as relevant
comments.
The computer where the interface will operate should have the SCI
Server system properly installed and pre-configured.
Technical Requirements:
Same technical minimum requirements of the SCI Server system and 100 MB
of free disk space for SCI System Interface DB.
