4. The seal, designed by Wayne Lee, a deacon of Calvary, Minden, contains three symbols.
The circle represents eternity,
as within its limitless bounds all
things are found. By this circle
we are reminded that we are
dealing with eternal things, such
as the eternal Spirit, God’s
Eternal Word, and the eternal
souls of men. We believe the
work we are doing for God is for
eternity.
The triangle signified the
trinity—the triune God,
that is, Father, Son, and
Holy Spirit—and the
triune man, with his
spiritual, intellectual, and
physical natures.
The Greek words within the triangle are found in II Timothy 4:2.
They admonish one to “ Preach the Word.” The words
translated, “Preach the Word,” have become the motto of the
school.
The colors signify loyalty
5. The LMBIS DOCTRINAL STATEMENT
1. The Bible. We believe that all the Bible is inspired of God and not only contains, but is the Word
of God.
2. Creation. We believe in and stress as eminently true and correct the Genesis account of creation
of all things.
3. God . We believe that the Bible teaches that God is all sufficient, all powerful and eternal and
that He is revealed as a Trinity—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
4. Devil. We believe that the Devil is a personality who is spiritual, strong, and seeks to drag down
and destroy each human being possible.
5. Man’s Fall. We believe that man was created pure and sinless, yet he was a free agent; as such,
he sinned and plunged the human race into sin and depravity.
6. Redemption. We believe that Christ paid the redemption price for the salvation of every person.
Each person is saved at the point of “repentance toward God and faith toward our Lord Jesus
Christ.”
7. Christ is Divine. We believe that Christ was and is the Son of God, who by powerful and divine
function was born of a virgin girl named Mary. We believe that Jesus was completely human and
at the same time thoroughly divine, joined in an indissoluble and eternal union.
6. 8. A Church. We believe a church is a local and visible body of saved, scripturally baptized believers,
scripturally bound together in the fellowship of the gospel.
9. The Holy Spirit. We believe that the Holy Spirit is a person, a Divine Person, the third person in the
Divine Trinity, who convicts sinners, though Christ saved them, and then qualifies and fits them for
acceptable service for and to God.
10. Baptism. We believe that baptism is by immersion in water of one who previously trusted in Christ as
his Savior. We believe only a New Testament Church has authority to baptize in the name of the Triune
God. We reject any other baptism as unscriptural and spurious.
11. The Lord’s Supper. We believe the Lord’s Supper to be the second ordinance of the church and, like
baptism, belongs in the local church.
12.Bible Schools. We believe that all Bible Schools should properly be under the direct supervision of a
local church. Hence, we believe the Louisiana Missionary Baptist Institute and Seminary to be, in every
way, scriptural. Other churches may properly offer help, counsel, and support; however, the operation
of the school must remain under the sponsoring church.
13.Human Governments. We believe in submission to human governments and believe this to be a
teaching of the Word of God.
14.Second Coming Of Christ. We believe that one day the Lord is coming back to earth. He is coming to
receive His churches, along with all saved people, and to reign with His people and to punish those
who have refused Him.
15.The Judgment. We believe that all who finally reject Christ as their personal Savior will have to stand
before Christ to be consigned to eternal punishment. We do believe; however, one thousand years will
elapse between the resurrection of the just and the unjust.
16. Hell. We believe that hell is a place which is to be the home of all those refusing Christ as Savior. It is
a place of indescribable torment and eternal punishment.
7. 17. Security Of The Believer. We believe that no one who has been saved by grace through
faith shall ever be separated from the love of Christ, but is eternally kept by the grace of
God.
