A new Arab Advisors’ survey of Tunisians reveals insightful details on the media consumption patterns in Tunisia. Moreover, the survey probed the Internet, e-commerce and gaming devices situation within Tunisian households.
A new Arab Advisors major media and Internet survey in Tunisia revealed that Tunisian TV viewers prefer to watch Tunisian FTA channels. When respondents were asked to choose the channels they watch the most, four Tunisian FTA channels were among the top five most watched FTA channels. Moreover, when asked about the respondents’ favored TV programs, the survey revealed that 62.6% of the respondents who watch TV prefer watching drama series, followed by 57.0% of the respondents who prefer watching movies.
A new major Computer Assisted Telephone Interviews (CATI) survey of Tunisians was concluded by the Arab Advisors Group in October 2010. The survey report, Tunisia Media and Internet Survey 2010 was released on November 11, 2010 and provides the results of a major comprehensive survey in Tunisia. The survey covered television, radio, movie theatres, newspapers’ reading habits, games, Internet and e-commerce. The report “Tunisia Media and Internet Survey 2010” has 82 pages and 112 exhibits.
Respondents were selected from different households across Tunisia's cities according to the Tunisian population breakdown. The gender, age group and governorate breakdown of the sample were pre-defined by the Arab Advisors Group according to the demographics published by the National Statistics Institute figures by end of 2009.
The survey results encompass answers from 800 individuals from different households that passed rigorous quality control checks. Quality control was conducted by Arab Advisors Group’s team. The survey yields a confidence level of 99% with a margin of error of less than 4%.

The survey revealed that PlayStation is the most widespread gaming device in the Tunisian houses with “PlayStation 2” having the largest installed base."
