My last 15 years of 30 years working experience has been on Corporate Social Responsibility, Community
Development, Community Relations, External Relations, Government Relations, Media & NGOs relations,
and Communication with multinational oil gas and mining companies of Chevron Indonesia Company, Unocal
Indonesia Company, PT Trubaindo Coal Mining (Indo Tambang Megah Raya Group), PT Thiess Contractor
Indonesia, Japex Buton Ltd., Origin Tata Power and Centre for Social Forestry (CSF) Mulawarman University.
Currently, I am Manager of Community Relations, Community Development/CSR, communication, media relations
and Stakeholders/External Relations, of PT Origin Tata Power since 2015 to CSR & External relations and turn
conflict into sustainable income generating activities, provide jobs to local people and business opportunities for
local vendors, managing issues and provocateurs, land acquisition, projects socialization, and local business
developments. When I joined Origin Tata Power in geothermal in March 2015, the social acceptance of the
community to the project approx. 30-40%, within approx. 6 months, the community acceptance approx. 90%, with
very massive socialization, more than 60 socializations within 7 months, no demos.
I was External Relations & Community Development of PT. Trubaindo Coal Mining (TCM), managing the complexity
of External Relations, CSR/Community Development, media relations, government relations, permits & license, and
land compensation. Within 3 months, resolved more than 30 land issues, in 6 months have done land acquisition
more than 3,200 ha land for mining. I have prevented more than 40 demos, protests, blockade as a results of issues
and disappointment prior my assignment with the company, boosting company image & reputation, improved
relations with local government. Having deep experienced now in dealing with very complex land & permit issues.
Involved and speed up of 100’s mining permits. Finally, I developed the TCM CD CR and land acquisition
management system.

Previously I was Human Resources & General Affairs Manager of Japex Buton Ltd (JBL) to manage HR,
government relations, community relations/Comdev, administration, permits, land acquisition and socialization in

supporting well exploration of Block Buton. I was successfully developed strong and excellent relationship with local
government & local communities of Buton. It was admitted by Bupati of Buton as the best company having excellent
relationship & communication with Buton government & communities. Our land acquisition process is the fastest
with smooth process and happy ending result. Permits were delivered on time and quick. I was the Top
Performance Bonus receiver 2010 at JBL. Moreover, I developed strategy, documented “Best Practices & Lesson-
Learned” on managing stakeholders relations, permits and land acquisition.
I was an Executive Director of Indonesian Business Coalition on AIDS (IBCA), a coalition founded by Chevron, BP,
Freeport, Unilever, Sinarmas, Gajah Tunggal and Sintesa Group to fight against AIDS in the workplace. In addition
to field experiences, I have been working as the Director of Forestry District-own company of Kutai Timur, East
Kalimantan, Director of Center for Social Forestry (CSF), Head of CSR Consultant in the Apex Consulting Group
and was a Advisor/Consultant for Public & Government Affairs for mining and plantation companies
Sinarmas Papua, LIPPO Group, International Development Agency (CIDA), European Union, NGOs
activist and advisor in East Kalimantan and lecturer at University Mulawarman with total 30 years
working experiences.
I am currently writing up “Best Practices and Lesson Learned” of Public & Government Relations including,
CSR/CD, External Relations as well as managing and handling relationship with government, NGOs and media in
Indonesia, based on field experiences at Unocal/Chevron Indonesia company, PT. Trubaindo Coal mining, PT
Thiess Indonesia, Japex Buton Ltd. and as CSR consultant at Lippo Group, and the Jakarta Consultant Group.
I have proven track record to manage difficult issues with local government & community surrounding company
operation areas, turn the claims into a sustainable program which reduce and prevent conflict. It creates community
sense of belonging and the company become the community asset.
I did develop External Affairs/Community Development Strategy and approach of PT Thiess Indonesia as well as
“Thiess Indonesia External Affairs and Community Relations Management System” and implement unique
programs, including “Employee Voluntary English Teaching Program”. It made Thiess Indonesia, the only mining
contractor which has the system and become one of Thiess strengths, recognized and acknowledged by the clients.
Moreover, I did set up “Donation, Sponsorship and Goodwill Contribution Guidelines, Crisis Communication Plan
and Media Relations Standard Operating Procedure”.
I also developed SOP, guidelines and programs for the Indonesian Business Coaliton on AIDS (IBCA) founded 7
giant national and multinational companies, which was idle for 6 months. took over its management and making it
finally running well now.
As Coordinator Public Affairs and Community Development, Unocal/Chevron Indonesia Company, I developed SOP
and guidelines for Community Program Selection and Evaluation and experienced to develop and implement CSR
program and handling community/stakeholders for several exploration/production oil & gas projects.
I have strong contact, network and close relationship on External Relations in oil and gas industries, including, but
not limited, with several government department (SKKMIGAS, MIGAS, Energy and Mining Department), mass
media, external relations managers oil gas and mining companies of Chevron, BP, Conocophillips, Total E&P,
Thiess Indonesia, VICO, KPC, INCO, BHP Billiton, local government of East Kalimantan, Buton, NGOs (WWF,
TNC) , universities (IPB, UI, UGM, ITB), local communities.
I am currently member of Indonesian Petroleum Association-IPA, CSR International, Corporate Forum for
Community Development (CFCD), Perhumas and Forum Kehumasan SKK MIGAS-K3S.
