So … That/Such … that
Pattern:
such + a/an + adjective + singular
          noun + that
My grandparents had such a hard
life in their country that they had
               to leave.
I had such a beautiful home town
       that I hated to leave it.
  Have ever seen such a beautiful
                 star?
Pattern:
such + adjective + plural noun +
              that
The Lost Boys saw such terrible
 things that they will never forget
                them.
I have watched such scary movies
   that I’ve been having trouble
              sleeping.
Pattern:
so + adjective + that
Foreign adoption is so expensive
that many people cannot afford it.
English is so hard that I don’t want
         to learn any more.
Pattern:

so + adverb + that
Children of immigrants learn
English so easily that they become
       fluent in a short time.
I walked so far that I got blisters on
               my feet.
  She talks so loud that it hurts my
                 ears.
Pattern:
So many + plural count noun + that
In Miami, there are so many
Spanish speakers that you can hear
      Spanish wherever you go.
 There are so many students in this
  class that I can’t remember their
                names.
I have so many things to do tonight
 that I won’t get to bed until 2 a.m.
Pattern:
So few + plural count noun + that
There are so few babies available
that many Americans adopt foreign
               babies.
    There were so few students
 enrolled in my writing class that it
           was canceled.
     There are so many rules in
 grammar that we can’t learn them
                 all.
Pattern:
So much + noncount noun + that
There was so much poverty in
Ireland that the Irish people were
           forced to leave.
 Some people use so much sugar
   that it’s bad for their health.
 There was so much traffic that I
              was late.
Pattern:
So little + noncount noun + that
The Lost Boys had so little food to
  eat that many of them died.
We have so little time left tonight
   that I am making mistakes.
