Basics Smartboard: how to install the software on the Fontys Computer, using Smartboard as controller, digital ink, Notebook software (basics), differences between saving and exporting files, tips. The layout of this presentation is based on Mario Paiano's design's series 101.

2. Software Installation
• Go to Start
• Control Panel
• Programs
• Programs and Features
• Install a program from
the network

3. Software Installation
• Select Apps_InstallOD_SmartNotebook108-XXX… .
• Click on Install button
• The installation will start immediately
NOTE: The software will be installed in the background.
You will NOT see the progress of the installation.
PLEASE, be patient, DO NOT Shut Down the PC or disconnect it from Fontys LAN

4. Orient
• Press simultaneously on the Keyboard and Right-click button
• Take the pen and press/touch the screen in the center of each target

5. Controller
• Use smartboard as a mouse
• Left click
• Double click
• Right click
• Use smartboard as presenter
• PowerPoint forward / backward

6. Digital ink
• Floating tools
• PowerPoint
• Other programs
• Ink Aware
• MS Excel
• MS Word
• Other programs

7. Notebook Software
• Toolbar
• Tabs
• Pages

8. Save/ Export
• Save in Notebook format as *.Notebook
• Export to PDF

9. Tips
• Orient the smartboard or smart podium before use
• Use to use the copies of your Power Points and other documents
(so you can spontaneously save all notes and changes)
• Start small (use the smartboard as controller, whiteboard)
• Share your experiences with your colleagues
