2. MML History
 William John Matheson was born in a house on the
site of the present library on
September 15, 1856
 1931 – 2 story, 9,000 square foot library
was built
 1990 – 4,500 square foot addition was constructed
 2004 – 14,000 square foot addition tripled the
library’s size and now includes the 5,000 square foot
Community Center

3. Library System
 Part of Lakeshores Library System (LLS) including
libraries in Walworth and Racine Counties. There are
42 libraries in S.H.A.R.E.
