August 19,1883 coco Chanel was born
●
1909- she moves to Paris & starts designing hats for friends this is
when she realizes that she belongs in the fashion industry. So she
begins to make friends with designers and writers living in Paris.
●
1910- boyfriend “Boy Chapel” gives her money to open a shop in
Paris. Before the year can end business was so good she opened
another store in London.
●
1921- she launched the N5 perfume.
●
1931- Chanel starts designing clothes for Holly wood films and signs a
1 million dollar contract.

1939- World War I : Chanel declared there was no time for fashion &
took a 15 year break.
●
She served the War World 1 as a nurse. Chanel affairs during World
War II with a Nazi officer which resulted exile in from Switzerland.
●
After Coco Chanel's death Karl Lagerfeld took over as owner
●
1990- Lagerfeld created a mix with chanel's original boxy suits with his
own mix and accessories
