Imagine a more productive and relaxed work atmosphere where employees are able to effectively manage their stress.
Promoting a positive and healthy environment while helping employees nourish their mind, body and soul can make a
difference with overall performance.
My name is Amy Bourque and I am a yoga instructor at Karma Yoga in West Springfield where I activity teach a variety of
classes and workshops. My journey of health and wellness for the mind and body began in my early teenage years. I have
learned over the past many years, and faithfully believe, that living a balanced life with proper nutrition and staying active will
all come full circle. What we put into our bodies and how we treat ourselves is vital to our long term mental and physical
wellbeing. This is where I found yoga or perhaps yoga found me.
I started practicing yoga many years ago in the comfort of my own home. Yoga has been a personal component in my life and
has helped me grow stronger physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. My appreciation of nature, interest in natural
approaches to healing and passion and love for tea is all supported through yoga.
Teaching yoga is an exciting gift from the universe and a rewarding experience thus far. I believe Yoga is for any stage of life
and can be practiced anywhere. My goals are to assist others with their own personal practice, help spread awareness of the
multitude of mental and physical benefits of yoga, while continuing to grow and learn in my personal journey.
Helping businesses promote healthy lifestyles and build morale with their employees and customers is important to me. A few
successful events I lead are:
 CrossFit Yoga – Cross-Fitters, as any elite athletes, need flexibility and range of motion for peak
performance. I work cooperatively with CrossFit OMNES in West Springfield and their clients to increase
spiritual awareness and flexibility.
 Roots Aquatics Center in Westfield – Instructing Yoga classes in a fitness center environment.
 Medusa Brewing Company “Yoga in the Taproom” – One would think this combination does not work… well it
does. Medusa was looking to build community and fill a slow period with its patrons from noon to 3pm on
Saturday’s. With the events selling out in less than 8 hours, I was able to help kick-start this goal and create
a fun event at Medusa! Those who signed up stayed and are eagerly anticipating the next Yoga event!
 Forest Park Apartments, income based subsidized housing. Developed and instructed a 10 week beginners
program for the residents of the Forest Park Apartments. This program included an introduction to yoga and
an explanation of the long term benefits of incorporating yoga into a daily lifestyle.
I would like to help your business connect with employees and/or clients at your facility or at the Karma Yoga Studio. Feel
free to contact me for more information and rates!
Namaste!
