Focus: The Olympics
•Task One: Short Story – Descriptive Passage
Pretend that you are an Olympic Athlete at the London
           2012 Olympic Games. Write a descriptive story of one of
                          your events or the opening ceremony.
Remember to use                               lots of adjectives,
language features (metaphor, personification etc) to describe how you
feel in that situation. The story needs be engaging and interesting to
the reader.
Task Two: Design a new Symbol
Each sport at the London Olympics has it owns symbol. For example:
             This the symbol for archery.
              Pick an Olympic sport and come up with a new symbol
              for your chosen sport.
               Be creative with your use of colour in the background.
