4. Algarve- wealth of sun
Algarve stands for gold, the colour of the sun and the sand, and it stands for blue, the colour of the sea
and the sky. Algarve is also a symbol for red, the colour of the soil and of the cliffs - all this, combined,
forms a perfect scenario for your dream event. The southern region of Portugal is blessed with 1000
hours of sun and owns the most beautiful coastline of Europe, between Sagres and the spanish frontier.
It is very rich in diversity in all its small bays, where the most stunning beaches are inherent.
Algarve is europe’s most famous secret; some of the most breathtaking and pleasant beaches of the world
can be found at the Algarve, however, this area is not only known for its beaches!
In the interior of the region another side of the Algarve appears, hidden from the vivid coast; Here we can
see an area with nice orange groves and a lot of lemon, fig and locust trees!
Nevertheless, the best known are still the marvellous almond trees…the delicious almond specialities are
made out of these local almonds.
Besides the magic of the landscape, we will discover the aroma and the different flavours of the traditional
Cuisine! There are, for example, various meals made of fish and seafood, like the fish stew or the Cataplana with
venus clams!
Crossing the region of Algarve, we find places with high ecological importance, which are rich in biological
diversity and ecosystems and we feel like moving on the tracks of old traditions, which are still preserved today!
The arab influence which lasted more than five centuries will always mark these places, beginning from the
name; Al-Gharb, which means; the West!
Only a few steps away from the silence of the inland we can enjoy the entertaining nights of the Algarve. Bars,

Formosa is still under conservation because of its beauty and its
extraordinary fauna. You can optionally choose to add this
excursion to your free and relaxed afternoon!

13. An Unforgettable Landscape –
Ria Formosa
The Natural Park of the Ria Formosa is one of the most beautiful Natural resources of the Algarve, especially
because of the abundance and diversity of its ecosystem and its unique location. This spectacular natural paradise
extends over 60 km from the region around Ancão (belongs to the district of Loulé) to the region of Manta Rota
(belongs to the district of Vila Real de Santo António) and is a place of refuge for many migratory birds and other
rare bird species! There are only two rivers which supply this tide- and mud land throughout the year. The other
watercourses regularly dry out during summer. The main aim of this nature park is to preserve its natural resources
and to develop them further on, in order to protect the original natural habitat of all the animals.
Even though there are human activities in this nature park, they do not interfere nor have an effect on the
equilibrium of this ecosystem, since everyone sticks to the given rules and everything is still operated the traditional
way.

“Louro”
The Louro Restaurant is one of the many
restaurants that belong to the Conrad Hotel and
which is open right through the day. Here it is
possible to enjoy the exquisite Mediterranean
Cuisine, which is presented and showed in a
particular way!
The main Motif of the Cuisine is the traditional
portuguese cuisine and the astounding influences
that the climate, the landscape and the
surrounding have on the product. Here you can
experience your first taste of the really rich in
tradition cuisine of Portugal!

Vineyard –
„Adega do
Cantor“
Cliff Richard launched his first harvest of his Portuguese
vineyard in the Algarve in 2011. The red wine is called Vida
Nova and is by now also available as Rosé wine. This wine has
recently won the bronze medal of the „International Wine
Challenge“ in London – chosen from more than 9.000 Wines.
Every wine was tested by blindfold experts. The Adega do
Cantor is a few kilometers northwest from Albufeira and is to
be found in the middle of the Algarve under the direction of
Winemaker Max Birch, who has the Knowhow of the
Portuguese star enologist David Baverstock. The Adega do
Cantor is a boutique wine cellar and it will impress every guest
with its scenic and philosophic cleverly devised integral logistic
and landscape. They strive for wines of the highest quality,
created in combination with tradition and innovative
techniques. The vinery lies on the Quinta do Miradoura, where
you can enjoy an astonishing overview over the surrounding
areas and you can even see the Oceanside if the weather
allows.
Thanks to a guided tour, you will gain a very good insight into
the wine and its production and harvest. Obviously you will
also have the chance to taste it afterwards!

das Praias
All the lovers of beach and the sea, lovers of good food
and life loving Gourmets will now have the chance to
enjoy themselves here!
The Restaurant Rei das Praias is lies directly at the beach,
where undiscovered nature and beauty meet the
civilisation and creates a wonderful harmony. Besides
Great fish dishes you can benefit from an extensive offer
of wines, Champagne or Caipirinha Cocktails and be
sweptoff your feet from the sea breeze.

21. Quinta dos
Vales
After a nice lunch you will be visiting the wine and art farm
“Quinta dos Vales”.
Here is where vine meets art and good taste! This particular
place hás always a terrific effect on His guests, Let yourself be
surprised! A Great winetasting and some snacks, with a very
nice surrounding, can be arranged here. Upon request, a
special dinner can be arranged as well!

The Restaurant in the “Vila Joya” is a further must-have-seen and

owner of two Michelin Stars and you can taste its talent in every of
