2. In charge of all operations, which are assigned to BCO on drilling, rigs such as:
•Monitor all ballast controls and instrumentation to maintain stability.
•Preparation of weekly Major Emergency drills and the undertaking of ME controller duties.
•Assist in preparation of rig specific Emergency Response manual.
•Prepare all reports involving all Marine operations.
•Coordinate all boats and helicopter traffic to and fromrig.
•Monitor all alarm systems and take actionas directed.
•Supervise the transfer of bulks to and from rig and keep records.
•Monitor quantities of expendables and report to Barge Supervisor.
•PreventiveMaintenance and tests on ballast control and other marine equipment as required.
•Assist the Barge Supervisor in carrying out rig move plans, assist in anchor handling boats and
perform mobilization preparations.
•Activepart in all Company QHSE policies.
•Mentor, develop and train crew members.
I kept records and calculations for communication and food supplies and did most of the paper work
on the bridge. All port state control,flag state control revealed no remarks as for my work.
I am quite good in astronomy and I kept astronomic observations journal. I can use and make voyage
plan on paper maps as wellas electronic ECDISTransas & C-Map. I can well identify gyro and
magnetic compass errors.
After getting aboard, I first familiarize myself with the vessel documents, instructions, company
policy,and SMS manuals. I am experienced in making up stowage plans, stability calculations forsuch
types of Rigs
I workwell with such computer programs as Word, Excel,Outlook,Adobe Photoshop,etc. I led
mooring operations on the forecastle and stern, tookpart in ship to ship mooring and cargo
operations. I was also recommended for promotion.
I can easily learn to use new software,programs and equipment. I have a serious approach to Safety,
Security, Environmental Protection,Health and Hygiene Standards, Drug and AlcoholPolicy.
