OBJECTIVES:
I am looking for a challenging position within the Housekeeping Department where I can utilise my experience, education,
training and interpersonal skills to improve and maintain housekeeping standards as well as provide the highest level of
customer satisfaction in the organisation I work for.
PROFILE:
An experienced professional Executive Housekeeper with over 30 years of experience in hospitality management. I have
demonstrated my skills in taking overall responsibility for managing the housekeeping and laundry operations of reputable 4
and 5 star hotel chains such as Hilton, Sofitl, Marriott and Radisson but to name a few. Over the years I have directed and
maintained the housekeeping department including the planning, organising and supervision of cleanliness and maintenance
throughout the hotel and ensured the highest standards of guest care and service whilst achieving budgetary requirements. I
am a committed and self-motivated person with excellent interpersonal, and communication skills. Capable of grasping and
adapting to organisational dynamics with the ability to relate to targets, individuals and groups from all levels and diverse
backgrounds. My time management skills are exceptional and I work well under pressure.
KEY SKILLS
Experience: I have managed the housekeeping operations within a 950 bedroom/suits hotel and have
supervised a team of 185 employees within the department. I am highly skilled in
planning, co-ordinating and directing all activities pertinent to housekeeping and have
hands on experience in monitoring team member’s performance and helping them grow
towards further development. I have ensured that all VIP rooms and show/conference
rooms are ready on time and have liaised with reception on room requirements and
urgency.
Leadership: Highly motivated with a proven track record of taking a leading role in training,
guiding, motivating and developing staff to deliver exceptional standards of service and
cleanliness. I have trained staff in implementing new standards and complying with
company procedures including health and safety.. Supervised housekeeping and laundry
personnel and undertook the task of hiring, firing and performance assessments. I have
worked close with my staff and supervised their work through daily spot-checking to
ensure that all the core standards are implemented and adhered to in the bedrooms and

Accomplishments: Trained new housekeepers in various specialities within a tight deadline following the
renovation and opening of new hotels. Implemented company standards and had a lead
role in implementing and training staff to the new luxury standard of Sofitel brand. As
a pre-opening member of the executive team I have travelled to Germany to acquire
hands on experience about the hotel chain I was working for and had actively
contributed to the design and implementation of high standards
Supervision: responsible for ensuring that the inspection programme was consistently maintained
and that all safety and security policies and procedures were followed. Worked closely
