To Whom It May Concern:
I am interested in a teaching position at your school. Over the past ten years,I have worked with
children in various settings. Each opportunity gave me the chance to care, love, and teach each
child that I encountered. They have taught me to be firm and consistent while being spontaneous
and carefree at the same time. A new day brings new challenges and experiences, but working
with children brings a joy and fulfillment that I have come to cherish.
As a 2010 graduate of Southeastern Louisiana University, I have student teaching experience on
the second grade level. I also have experience teaching in pre-kindergarten, kindergarten, first,
and third grades for my methods classes. I also subbed for various grades in local elementary
schools until I received a full time job. Finding a teaching job in Livingston Parish after
graduation was difficult. Because of this, I accepted various education jobs to provide more
experience until a teaching job could be found.
At the present time, I am working for Donaldsonville Primary School in Ascension Parish as a
Pre-k 4 teacher. During this time, I have collaborated with a team of Pre-k 4 teachers to plan
lessons while incorporating Common Core Standards and Teaching Strategies Gold as well as
other strategies to push our students to the next level. I am also taking classes at Southeastern to
add-on Mild/Moderate 1-5 and Early Intervention certifications to my degree.
My time at this school has been a learning experience with Common Core Standards and TAP. I
have learned how to analyze a standard and create a plan that will lead my students to success.
However, the distance from my home here in Livingston Parish has me seeking employment
closer to home. I have seen the distance hinder some of the time I could spend planning or
working at school. It would be a joy to work in my community and use my education and
previous teaching experiences.
On a daily basis, I make sure my students know that they are loved and a part of my class
regardless of behavior or academic success. I have found that students learn and work better
when they feel loved and free to be themselves. Each experience has shaped me to be who I am
today. These qualities are an excellent asset in a classroom with young learners. I am looking
forward to new experiences and shaping children for a bright, successfulfuture. I would
welcome an interview and hope to hear from you at your earliest convenience. Thank you for
your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
Adrienne Lee

4. To whom it may Concern,
Adrienne Lee worked for my family as a Nanny from March 1, 2011 for a little longer
than a year.
She is an excellent employee and my girls LOVE her! I have 3 girls, age 8, 5 and 2, so it
was always a challenge and she always had projects or learning activities for them to keep
their day active and educational.
She really made an impression on our family and actually was part of our family and we
keep in touch with her because she is such a wonderful person!
She was always punctual and gave ample notice if needed a day off. Also, she did
everything I would have done if I would have been home. She did laundry and kept a clean
kitchen and playroom which was so wonderful! She also transported my kids to school and
to the doctor if I needed extra assistance with transportation.
We were so happy to have her in our house and she is a genuine and beautiful person.
Her heart is in teaching and she taught my kids so much and we know she will be a
wonderful role model for her students.
Please don’t hesitate to call with any further questions.
Thank you,
Sara Sylvest

5. To whom it may concern:
I am pleased to be able to highly recommend Adrienne Lee for a teaching position.
Adrienne teaches an average of fifteen students of ages that vary from four to twelve years
old. She teaches a faith based curriculum. In this capacity, Adrienne has been consistent,
patient, and reliable. She has proved to be above and beyond the average nanny. Since she
began caring for these students, it was evident that she had a love for the profession.
Adrienne shows sincere interest in and concern for her students. She continuously puts in
long hours to organize creative lesson plans that prove to be interesting as well as
educationally effective. Her dedication to her students has been reflected by her popularity
among her students. Adrienne accepts constructive criticism with maturity, and never loses
her confidence. Wherever she decides to accept a teaching position, I know that Adrienne
will do an outstanding job and become an asset to the school district fortunate enough to
receive her application for employment. Should you need any further information, do not
hesitate to contact me.
Respectfully submitted,
Julie Dunn
