healthy, happy, and hydrated. Here, he tests
one of his new hydration-delivery systems.
Proper hydration is vital, especially during exercise or in
hot/humid climates. Despite knowing this, many people
admit they don’t drink enough fluid. Additionally, the
standard “8 cups of fluid a day” may not be sufficient,
especially those in extreme situations. Reminders to drink
may work, but since many people are already aware they
should be doing better, the problem is often that people just
forget.

CONCLUSION
Despite a few technological hiccups, overall participants found both
interventions useful. Difficulties included not all participants
receiving text messages, or the scheduled messages getting lost in
an ongoing conversation.
Response rate on effectiveness of intervention from 6 of 11
participants. Overall people preferred the outrageous
messages, even when they didn’t improve total fluid intake.
