3. What I Know
This event was the sinking of the huge
luxury cruise called the Titanic. This ship
sank because it hit a huge iceberg while
sailing past Greenland. The ship was
traveling from London to New-york. The
Titanic sank on the year 1912. It’s 100th
anniversary was on the year 2012. I know
this because I watched a documentary.

5. What I Know
In this event, Two planes crashed into the
world trade centers in New York. This was
caused by a group of terrorists called Al
Qaida. The leader was called Osama Bin
Laden. He was killed on May 2nd, 2011.
The planes were hijacked and steered into
the twin towers. Two other airplanes
crashed somewhere else. One onto the
Pentagon and the other onto a field in
Pennsylvania. I know this because I read a
book in grade 4 when we did a unit similar
to this unit.

7. What I Know
In this event, the Americans bombed the city of
Hiroshima with a nuclear bomb. It affected many
innocent citizens and affecting the people of the
city many generations later even though there were
no more bomb attacks on the city. This is because
of the nuclear attack. It sent out so much radiation.
That killed the people many generations later.
Those people suffered from the radiation and
caused them to live a shorter life. Some people even
die at the age of 5 because of the suffering. I know
this because I read a book about world war 2 in
Wednesday, 23 January, 13
grade 4.
