19. ‘A Vision of K-12 Students Today ‘A vision of K-12 students today’ effectively conveys that technology has a significant influence on education and students’ motivation and willingness to learn. Students living in the 21st century are heavily dependent on technology as it is an integral part of their lives. By encorporating technology in education encourages students to be more engaged and interested in the classroom. It also provides avenue for students’ creativity (creating games/activities), personal interpretations (health scenarios)and independent/collaborative learning (team sports). This is evident in the ICT cross curriculum content for PDHPE as students enhance their ability to use information and communication technologies in health and physical activity contexts.

It also suggests that technology allows students’ to gain a deep understanding of the content that is being taught and to develop as creative, independent learners.
