• The hammer is an extremely heavy
metal ball which is attached to a
handle by a steel wire.

hammer for boys:
• The hammer must weigh at least 7’260 kg
and maximum 7’285 kg.
• The ball of the hammer should have a
minimum diameter of 11 cm and maximum
13 cm.
• The total distance from the handle until
the ball must be between 121.5 and 117.5
cm.

• The hammer must weigh at least 4 kg and
maximum 4’025 kg.
• The ball of the hammer should have a
minimum diameter of 9.5 cm and maximum
11 cm.
• The total distance from the handle until
the ball must be between 116 and 119.5 cm.
7. Where is the release of
the hammer
• The launch is carried out from a circle of
2.14 m in diameter, cement or a similar
